![]() ![]() ![]() Not a fan of the shadow drop Direct, I can't stand when Nintendo does it either, but if it's REALLY a J-games focus, I'll take The problem with a PSVR2 push is given the economy, low production, competitor's actions, and Sony's current leadership direction, I expect that things going to hit e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e to the point that even as a fan I might not buy it. Well, I'm all for Sony (pretending to) promote Japanese content again, though I wonder if it's mostly multiplat games plus FF. Sony's silence this whole generation is already passed annoying. Unless they do a 1st party showcase with God of War Ragnarok front and center (we're more likely to get just God of War), then it will be just more silence from Sony. I'm not saying they have to announce what every game is that's in development, but at least some knowledge of what's coming would be nice. Can't exactly use the excuse that they don't have anything to show though either, as Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine were just CG teaser announcements. Sure, they are all obviously working on stuff and we have an idea of what some are working on, but we still don't have confirmation on what most of them are actually working on. We literally know (100% confirmed by Sony or the developer) of 2 non-VR games for sure going forward after God of War Ragnarok, and those are Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. Santa Monica: Nothing to show beyond Ragnarok.īluepoint Games: Unless there doing another remake, I think it's too soon for them. Media Molecule: At most Dreams for PS5 and PSV2.įiresprite: More Horizon VR and maybe Twisted Metal. Sucker Punch: Ghost of Tsushima 2 is probably a year or so from reveal. Insomniac: Spider-Man 2 gameplay, Wolverine too soon. Naughty Dog: TLOU Factions not shown till next year. Guerrilla Games: Maybe an Horizon expansion, 2nd game a bit too soon. Still, while we wait for more information on that front, it’ll be interesting to see what tomorrow’s livestream brings.Īs much as I want to see a big showcase I don't think Sony's 1st party are in a position to show stuff off. Of course, this announcement doesn’t necessarily rule that out – there’s no mention of any potential first-party announcements in this State of Play, for example. ![]() ![]() Many had been anticipating a PS Showcase in September, as it’s been over a year now since the last full-scale presentation from PlayStation.
